My computer will get to a point where it goes to sleep and won't wake up. I call it "coma mode" it's been doing this a lot.

The only way I can make it turn back on is to unplug it and hold down the power button until I can hear what sounds like a capacitor discharge. Then I can plug it back in and it turns on, loads up and goes right back to where I was. It does this about once every three days.

so it's most likely an OS issue and not a Hardware issue?

It's an OS issue. I had a similar issue with a laptop years ago. I'm pretty sure that disabling sleep was the fix. There may have been an update later that fixed it, though, so you may want to check it out. I doubt it's hardware, though. If it's a consistent effect of sleep mode and a hard reboot fixes it, it's most likely just a problem with sleep mode.

I always disable sleep. I let it turn the monitor off, and that is it.
