I'm sure this thread has happened before, but where do you order from? There are a few beers out there that I've been dying to try that aren't available in my area.

What you are looking for will determine where to shop

Blackwells and France 44 are the main ones I know about.
Blackwells will be pricey.

West coast beers, like Heady, Pliny, and damn near anything from Russian River... Hill Farmstead stuff.... you know, the new holy-grail type beers.

probably not going to be able to order most of those
need to work out some trades
if you don't have any friends in those areas, go to beeradvocate or r/beertrade and try to work something out

You aren't going to be able to find most of those beers online to order. You'll either have to go there or trade with someone.

Well, I'll likely be heading to Seattle in a few months, so I guess I'll just have to wait.

Heady and Hill Farmstead are both only available in Vermont*...
you will have to know someone in Vermont or trade for these.
Pliny is available pretty regularly from Blackwells. They also have other Russian River beers available as they are released. Blackwells is kind of pricey, but ordering beer online isn't for the poors.
*some Hill Farmstead kegs make it to NYC and other places, but not regularly.

should find plenty of RR in Cali
I know RR pulled out Washington a few years ago, not sure if it is still in Oregon
if not, you will have plenty of trade bait beers available to trade for whatever beer you want...kinda

You won't find those beers in Seattle. Russian River used to distribute in Washington, but don't, anymore.
You will find many fine beers up there: Firestone Walker, Ballast Point, Fremont, Cascade, Hair of the Dog, Deschutes, etc... Boneyard is a good one that is only on draft, so you'll have to bring back growlers of that.
