Either they don't exist, or people who live there are too stupid to use the internet and post listings. Anyone have suggestions how to find info on this? Looking for something in Brusly or Addis.

not many renters over there. It's cheaper for them to finance a single-wide and live in a trailer park.

Masochist? Death wish much, brah?
Trying to get rid of someone in your life?

There's no reason to live there, commute into there.

Traffic back across to LSU is murder... Live south of LSU and do the ferry....cup of coffee and sports page every day for the float over...i know people been doin it for 30 years and love it...Not much driving and no miles on vehicle..

OP, real estate on the West side is usually sold/ rented by word of mouth. We do it that way to keep undesirables out. Know why there really are shitty sections and good sections here? Cause we don't run everything thru realtors. Having been here a while, I can assure you it beats that cess pool across the River.

You obviously don't live here. Morning traffic isn't that bad. Nicholson to LSU in the morning from i10 isn't too bad. River Road to the bridge back to Addis isn't bad in the evenings. I'm sure living south of Gardere has it's merits, but I'd think rental houses would be hit and miss there more so than on the west side.

So you are telling me it's easy to cross the bridge in the morning from Brusly to Baton Rouge...So all those people bitching on Facebook and to the DOTD about a loop don't know what they are talking about....
I think you are talking about different directions...My family lives over there and bitches every day!

if you don't want to live on the West bank, there are houses available (3 BR, 2 BA) in St. Gabriel off of Nicholson.

I'm living in one now, cost $975 month.

I thought about this, but how reliable is the ferry? I'm not sure how I would have to time my commute. How long does it generally take? Does it get shut down often for any reason? Like does bad weather affect it?

It is easy. If I leave before 730am there isn't much traffic.
