Tryin to get to know this class a little better. What are our chances with each recruit? What are they like? It seems like with a big need for linebackers and defensive tackles this year, 2016 is shaping up pretty well. With two DTs in the Louisiana top 10 and one LB plus the chance of Keiyon Joyner, we should do pretty well. Any info at all you have on these recruits would be much appreciated.

1. Ed Alexander - DT
2. Shea Patterson - QB
3. Willie Allen - OT
4. Shyhiem Carter - CB (Alabama Commit)
5. Rashard Lawrence - DT
6. Kristian Fulton - CB
7. Mykel Jones - WR
8. Stephen Sullivan - WR (LSU Commit)
9. Clyde Lefore - WR
10. Michael Divinity - OLB

At this point, I feel very confident in the bolded LSU players coming to LSU.

6 of the top 10 is not bad. we got 7 of the top 10 lat year. As long as we fill positions of need (LB, DT) and go after some good OOS prospects too. Keiyon Joyner, Feleipe Franks etc.

Its so damn early but I'd say LSU will land:

Alexander
Lawrence
Fulton
Sullivan
Divinity

No shot with Patterson, Allen, and Carter.
As far as Jones and Lefore, it depends on who LSU pushes for at WR. LSU already has two WR commits and it's a position with a lot of young talent already on the roster.

I could see Patterson and Jones at USCw, seriously...A&M will come after Clyde Lefore, hard.

Why no shot with Allen? Is he a lock to Bama? Is our staff taking it easy on OTs this year cause of our monster haul last year?

Willie Allen would be nice but we took any concern away with the 3 elite guys we took this year

You don't have to be a rantard for that to be concerning.

I'd be concerned if LSU didn't just have an awesome OL class for 2015

if Chidi doesn't end up on campus, I'd be more concerned

Cam Robinson was about as big of a recruiting miss as it gets. He'll be a three year starter at LT in the SEC and first round pick.

No way to know if Allen has that potential but losing in state offensive linemen of that caliber isn't a good practice.

Willie Allen looks like Bama for sure. Patterson to Ole Miss. We only get one of the top 3 in LA, but I think we will get some good OOS guys. WR isn't a huge concern with the young talent we have in 2014, 2015, and already in 2016. Patterson loss sucks, but we have Franks, so there's a silver lining. Willie Allen is certainly a loss as well, but we recruited well last year. And I think we will recruit well again this year at OL OOS if we have to. 2016 will be a lot like 2014. We will get a lot of good guys in state and out, but we will lose some LA studs.

there are 3 wrs in top 10. no way we get all 3. in addition, drake davis will end up in top 10 when he moves back to la. so eliminated 2 wrs who we don't have room for and eliminate Patterson because he is a wash with franks and we only could really LOSE 2 guys. carter and allen; we still are very much in it for both.

well said. My thoughts exactly. I wonder if the staff presses for commits early and moves on from the flaky kids to avoid a 2 for 5 situation?

As long as Frank Wilson is at LSU, Fulton signing with LSU is as sure as the sun setting in the western sky.

I think so. This staff recruits OOS better than the staff in 2014, and I think they will fill in the holes OOS.
