This album still sounds good to me all these years later. Underappreciated classic?

Umm...Hell yeah it does! If you ever get a chance to see their Kick concert on Palladia, watch it!

Yes. I also think "Reach the Beach" by The Fixx is a very underrated 80s album

Stop it right now, you are reading my mind.
Good stuff.
Track Two: "The Sign of Fire"

The Fixx opened for "A Flock of Seagulls" on the Riverboat President.
Not a bad day in 1983.

I think it fits in better with today's music than it did with the late 80s. It's an outstanding album.

Not only is it an underrated album, but I think the band as whole, is also underrated.

I also agree with the post about the concert that is played on the Palladia channel. Great live show.

Sidenote: I recently watched the docudrama/mini series on the band, "INXS: Never Tear Us Apart." It was really bad. I would not recommend watching this.

INXS is real great stuff. What You Need, Need You Tonight, and Never Tear Us Apart are as good as it gets.

As of late, I have an unhealthy obsession with the song Johnson´s Aeroplane.

You going through a dark period in your life? That one is probably their "darkest" tune.

It's funny. As much as I like the stuff from Sh/Sh and The Swing, I absolutely hate everything after. Almost like the post Life's Rich Pageant REM.

No question. That had great songs before 'Kick' and after it. Damn shame.....

Michael Hutchence was definitely an underrated front man. The dude's charisma and vocals were second to none.

No, I´m not.

Song strikes me as nostalgic, anyway (not ´dark´).

Simply, I think it´s a beautiful song.

I like it too. Maybe b/c it's a minor key with strings, it comes off as a darker song to me.
