LSU – Top 5 recruiter of the last four years, lost their DC to Texas A&M and have a brutal schedule. It might be the toughest in college football and that is a bad thing for trying to win a national title. LSU is close to their best four year run of recruiting, since the period prior to their last national title. Toughest schedule and new DC is a lot to overcome but their metric match the last 14 champs.

The SEC is stacked once again according to this guy's method of analysis. The rankings of Georgia and Florida are somewhat surprising. Their levels of underachievement the last few years per his analysis must be staggering.

Why? I dont understand why you do this to yourself every year. We may win. We may not. Just let it unfold. Jesus.

Our East opponents combined to go 9-7 in conference last year and we play no OOC schools of consequence.

Toughest schedule?

I believe he is basing it on his expectations for those teams in 2015. He has Florida as a favorite for making the playoffs and South Carolina as one of the last two outside of contention. Combine that with the three contenders from the SEC West on LSU's schedule, and LSU's schedule may be tougher than that of any of his other contenders. I think that is why he draws the toughest schedule conclusion.

Yet he has this to say about Alabama

quote:

They are going to earn a playoff berth, if they get their, more than anyone in college football.

Alabama has to play LSU, Auburn and Texas A&M from his list of contenders without taking the SECCG into consideration. The other 3 favorites do not have similar challenges. In that context his statement is accurate.

Retarded context.

If Vandy gets there, they will have earned it more than any team in CFB.

In other news, the basketball team hosts Kentucky in front of a sold out PMAC tomorrow and baseball starts Friday.

I don't think our schedule is too tough...
If we can get out of September with wins against State and Auburn, we should be trending upward.

How do you think LSU's schedule compares with the other teams in his article?
