LSU is close to their best four year run of recruiting, since the period prior to their last national title. The SEC is stacked once again according to this guy's method of analysis. The rankings of Georgia and Florida are somewhat surprising. Their levels of underachievement the last few years per his analysis must be staggering.

Our East opponents combined to go 9-7 in conference last year and we play no OOC schools of consequence.

Alabama has to play LSU, Auburn and Texas A&M from his list of contenders without taking the SECCG into consideration. The other 3 favorites do not have similar challenges. In that context his statement is accurate.

I don't think our schedule is too tough...
If we can get out of September with wins against State and Auburn, we should be trending upward.
