:inb4cadbraggingaboutnewhouse: and :csb:

So the new house has a flagpole and I was bitching to my 17yo that the rope wasn't connected to the top and since the flagpole is on a steep incline i wasn't sure how i was going get a ladder to reach to string a new rope.

While I was staring up at the pulley he apparently pulled the pin out of the base and dropped the pole.

I was like 'nice'.

I see this more as a "I'm a dumbass" thread than a subtle brag thread...

LSU flag underneath.

i freaking love the fact i have a flagpole. gonna teach my kids about raising & respecting the flag every morning no matter what dipshit we have in office.

I got my Dad (retired USMC) one that flew over the Iwo Jima Memorial. He thought that was pretty cool.

How old is your dad (seeing if our dads might have known each other? My dad, also retired USMC, flies the U.S. and Marine Flag in front of the house.

Dad is 91. He retired with 31 years so he would have retired about the time your dad joined.

I have my dad's copy of "The Great Santini" that is autographed by Santini and not his author son, signed "To (dad), from the real Great Santini."

This. You're an idiot.

It's a good thing your wife is smarter than you.
