Been working out of town and meeting the SO in Laffy for V-day. What's a nice hotel to stay at and some good places to eat in the area?

Get a room at the Juliet on Jefferson in downtown.

Easy walk to Pamplona from there which is a great restaurant

We stayed at the hotel acadiana. Seemed reasonably priced for what we got but not a 5* by any means.

It was really good for the price range. We had some good food in Laffy as well but nothing high end. We ate at Prejean's and T Coons and it's not V day quality but satisfied our itch for something different than you can get in Oregon.

When I travel, I usually look for the hotels near Cracker Barrel. Love that breakfast.

Just go to nola. I heard the Hotel St. Pierre has a lush and tranquil courtyard where Tennessee Williams entertained his pals.

Anywhere on Evangeline Thruway just south of I-10

But really, Golden Nugget or L'auberge in Lake Charles would be better.
