This is the rant so it's time to rant. Every week there's about 5 or so threads on Shea Patterson. Enough is enough. Hugh Freeze did the same thing Les did. If it takes hiring the older brother to get the younger brother so be it. I'm sick of fans thinking it's the end of the world if we don't get this kid. He's all over the place with his recruiting and you best believe he already knows what school he's going to.
Let's look at the dedicated and committed future LSU Tiger, Felipe Franks. 247sports composite has him rated as the #1 dual-threat QB and #36 overall, AND HE'S COMMITTED TO LSU. He will probably end up ranked in the top 25 overall at seasons end and HE'S COMMITTED TO LSU. We have another Florida kid who has been committed for almost a year. That's the kids we need. Kids who WANT to be committed as well as dedicated to LSU.
I know Patterson is extremely talented, but who knows. When you have a kid that wants to play at LSU We should support him in any and every way like we did with Kevin Tolliver. Franks needs more support but yet every week we get Patterson threads left and right.
Whether you agree or disagree I had to rant on the topic and show appreciation to the dedicated and committed future LSU Tiger Felipe Franks.

True that. But it would help to show support of him becoming and LSU Tiger and not treat him as a backup plan. He's the #1 dual-threat QB for 2016.

No one knows for sure, but Shea Patterson is the highest likelihood of an excellent Qb to come out of Lousiana since the Manning kids. Period. He is that promising.

I'm sure the talk will be of all the QB's that Hugh Freeze, in his QB system, has sent to the NFL....Bo Wallace is a sure 1st ballot NFL Hall of Famer by golly!

I know we didn't in 2010, but the plans were to. Then in 2011 we got a juco to make up for 10 and signed two other kids.
In 2012 neither qb made it on campus. So in 13 we grab 2.
Then we got one in 14.
So really the biggest mess up was gunner Kiel getting cold feet. He would have sat behind mett for 2 seasons and might have been the starter this past season.
IMO you just keep going all out for franks and still recruit another guy just in case, so we don't end up in a 2012 situation.

I don't think this statement is valid as you think it is. Jennings is a team player and is a tiger through and through. Compared to let's say Mettenberger who really wanted to play for UGA but chose us when his options diminished. Also, you're upset people are worried about the QB situation? Who in their right mind wouldn't be? I don't feel safe at all putting it all on Franks.
