Streaming media from phone to Tv

Is there a device out there I can use that doesn't require WiFi? And works well?

all devices are going to need to connect to a wireless network. Apple TV, chromecast, etc.

Android? If so, you can turn on your hotspot and connect a Chromecast to that and stream from there. I usually use my phone for the hotspot and connect my tablet and Chrome cast to it. Then I control the chromecast with the tablet for streaming.

The newest Apple TV's with iPhone 5 and newer don't need to connect to a network. They use some flavor of wifi direct.
