I realize Nintendo is like God to some of you weirdo's so they will never do anything wrong in your eyes, but this can just be added to the list of them not understanding this market and why they are struggling.

No they won't because people won't make Nintendo Let's Plays.

Sure they will. Chuggaaconroy, NintendoCapriSun and many other channels like those will continue to do so I guarantee it.

I agree. It's not a very smart move but it's their property and they every right to control what is attached to it and put out on a public site for all to see.

Name a gaming company that regularly puts out amazing products at the rate Nintendo does.

they are struggling.

Ever since Mario Kart 8 came out, they have been selling consoles like crazy. And they are having a very hard time keeping shelves stocked with Amiibos and the gamecube controller adapter may as well be the Holy Grail with how hard it is to buy one.

Less that 10,000 on each of his videos this month.

I'm talking about Let's Players that matter. The ones with major subscriber bases. The ones that actually do make a lot of money on youtube.

A lot have come out and said they are done with Nintendo now.

I'm not arguing the legality of it....

Uh, what? He has one million subscribers and 714,249,713 total video views doing nothing but Nintendo games? Yeah he wouldn't get them much money

Like who? AngryJoe is the only one I've heard about getting pissed and saying he's not doing videos of them anymore (not that he ever did any)

Not to mention the killing they make off of their handhelds.

I read somewhere Nintendo could never make another game or console again and keep operating like they are for like 20 years they have so much cash on hand.

How is this any different than not being able to broadcast a dvd I bought on youtube?

PewdiePie ( ) and Achievement Hunter I know of as 2 of them.

Just go read some of the r/Games threads about this.

People prop up Sony and Microsoft and love to talk about how much money they are making off selling their consoles when in reality, they are costing the company frick tons of money. Nintendo is turning massive profits right now and has for decades because they care about the quality of their products. Some pissy YouTubers getting upset and not putting their games out there isn't going to cost them much money.

frick that place. That was the same place that was flooded with hate towards Dragon Age Inquisition when it first came out because cut scenes didn't run at 60+ fps.

People like listening to the commentary but at the end of the day, they are there to watch the game and learn how to beat a level or relive their childhood memories. Good commentary is secondary.

There are very few gaming channels I watch for just entertainment. Seannaners being one of them. All others I am searching for info on games I am playing.

I used to watch Chuggaaconroy more than I do now because he used to be way more serious. A few years ago when his popularity spiked, he started doing more family friendly commentary. He puts the most production value into his videos though and knows almost everything about every game he plays.

StephenPlays isn't a well known channel in comparison but he has some really solid commentary and a lot of information on the games he is playing. It's a lot of fun to watch him and his friends play GTA Online.

If you looked at subscriber numbers on Youtube you would know this isn't even remotely true.

It may apply to this board because it is an older audience, but in general it's not close.

Lol

The wii u is the first Nintendo console I've ever owned. I'm the last person to think Nintendo is a god. But bitching about their shortcomings changes nothing. They're still gonna do what they want to do and they'll continue to make great games. Meanwhile you and the OP can continue bitching about things you can't control.

Uh, no. Look at the viewer numbers for any of your examples when they play a game that's hot in the community versus some obscure indie game that didn't catch fire.
