masters of the universe- watched recently and although the acting is shitty and special affects are meh, there actually is a decent plot in there. I wouldn't mind seeing a remake

I thought that was about as good as they could have done He-man without going much darker and more violent. Lundgren wasn't horrible and physically was about as close as you can get to someone pulling off that part. If they did it today, we'd end up with someone like the Rock or the guy that ruined the new Conan movie..
