Creating my own "cloud" backup service?

About to move to a new office location where we will be updating our server during this time. Probably will be incorporating a new NAS. I'm just wondering if someone could explain how I could set it so that I could backup my home computer to the NAS at my office. What program would I use, etc? Depending on the brand of NAS we get, would that capability be built into the software?

Synology can do this pretty straightforwardly. There are a few different packages you can get to do this depending on your needs. You may have to install them, but being that they have a package "store" where you basically just select package and click install, you can almost say it's built in. With a little configuration of the NAS and probably your router/networking equipment, you can have it set up pretty quickly.
Edit: What you're referring to is called a "private cloud" fyi
