Got hurt the first game bc of the turf is terrible and played only a handful of games and he is a train wreck? You're crazy man, you of all people should know there is growing pains to transition from 4-3 to 3-4.

Going to be a beast his soph. season

I truly hope that you are right, and will gladly admit im wrong if he is a beast next year. Although he probably wont be ready for the first few games next year.

Also excited to see if Blue can really develop under Billy O. Lord knows Foster needs a solid RB2

I could see Cory Thompson slide into a LB position

No. He played qb in hs. Just like Melvin Jones and beckwith. But he was always looked at as a safety.

Actually Voorhies was always looked as someone who could play multiple positions, and he definitely did play OLB his senior year. He played both ways, had 4000 yards on offense and over 60 tackles on defense, where he played more at OLB than Safety

quote:

Because of the strength of his early-season schedule Brown wasn't at liberty to rest Voorhies as much as he would have liked on defense. He played him at both outside linebacker and safety where Voorhies rolled up a season-high 10 tackles in a 20-18 playoff win over Seminary. "Him playing outside linebacker for us and gives you some idea about his toughness and physicality," Brown said. "A lot of those tackles probably came from playing linebacker."

I'm sure we had offers out to some LBs...and apparently they said no...remember the Adonis kid from GA, we offered him, but he went to Bama...no, we didn't offer Arthur McGinnis...get over it...

I really think if we had depth at DE, that Teuhema would be at OLB.

If everything about Voorhies and Feist were correct, then we are straight at LB. That gives us 5 coming in to 2016 if Beckwith decides to declare. We pick up Divinity, Joyner, another OLB, and one ILB, and we can wrap up 2016 for LBs.

TERRIBLE Planning is an understatement.
Steele is going to have to position change at least 2 players this season. And pray for no injuries.

Yep. Plus too many people are assuming that Beckwith will for sure declare. While I think the chances of him staying are much higher than they were with Kwon Alexander.

Its a fair critique. Steele couldve found a LB somewhere. Lsu had a ton to offer and he's the Bama LB coach under Saban.

Hard to believe Zero LB's at a position of major need. Lsu rarely makes a recruiting mistake but no doubt this was one of them.

1 3* QB may be worse tho, he was here the entire yr and supposedly a QB whisperer? Well at least this yr we will have 3 scholarship QB's. SMH

Hopefully we can continue our string with injuries and get thru these next two yrs, without having to play a safety at LB or a Walkon at QB.

Most LB's already had their minds made up when Steele and O got here. They only had a week or two to go after guys with their hearts set.

It is a valid point, we whiffed on LBs this season....plain and simple. Chavis departing hurt, but we did not have any LBs signed before he left. Beckwith staying will be paramount, and we should be an attractive location for JUCO types given our depth chart. FR rarely can come in and play LB in the SEC. Going to be interesting....

Cut Steele and O some slack. They showed up to the scene late and still got Key and a serious look from Leo Lewis.

Wilson got the look from Lewis and we had been chasing key for a while. These guys truthfully didn't have much impact on the 2015 class, in the 3 weeks they had to make one.

Of you can't see the value in adding a guy willing to work and stay with the team if he didn't start early, in between years that you take a top 5 national guy, you have no vision, and should probably just tune back in during the fall.

Its called building depth, which is where the fault is at lb.

You are probably one of the idiots claiming that "you are screwed anyway if you lose your top 2 qbs" after we went sheen to 2 scholarship guys in the summer. The national champion begs to differ
