at least 2 DBs will move to LB and look for Lewis Neal to play a hybrid DE/LB role
They are going to have to next year.
Interesting note, several La. LB's did sign with other out of state schools, but we have to trust the coaches that they didn't like what saw this year.

Yes we all know we need several LB's in next years class. We will hit the juco trail pretty hard for one or two and recruit several HS ones. Thankfully, some of the best JUCO football is played right next door in Mississippi so Steele won't have to look far.

Im hella surprised we didnt go after Phillips harder, as Duckie said. Great player.

Feist did not play in 2013 so I think that was his redshirt year. This also would make him a redshirt-junior this upcoming season.
Wondering about that but I think he was listed as a Jr this year. Not sure what that's about.

relax bud...he knows his roster and depth chart better than you.
I am relaxed. This post is just factual. Except my blunder on DJ Welter having one more year. Position changes after freshman year are troublesome to me most of the time (except on OL). Voorhies was CB, then safety, now LB... he must be good, because they are trying to get him on the field.

Neal has the potential to be a hell of a LBER IMO

Yes but DJ is entering the draft this year, not next. He played in one of the senior bowl games so no need to list him anywhere near our LB's. Nowhere near them finally.

Any chance Ducre, Brossette, Mouton, or Williams, gets moved to LB?

So that leaves us only three LBs on our roster for 2016!!!:
No. 3 Clifton Garrett 6-3, 242
No. 40 Duke Riley 6-1, 218
No. 48 Donnie Alexander 6-1, 201
no it doesn't

Feist played in 2014, but didn't play at all in 2013. so the redshirt is still available for use as far as I can tell. Miles mentioned him redshirting in late 2014 in an interview, but there wasn't much context around it.

Melvin Jones was the #4 ILB in 2013, he's now a fullback, could he possibly switch back to LB?
Posted on 2/5/15 at 10:36 am to LSUMurple
LSU should be a top destination for the best LBs of 2016. That's another way of looking at it.
Posted on 2/5/15 at 10:37 am to LSUMurple
Do you honestly believe the coaches didn't know this or you literally just made a huge discovery that Miles an Co. need to know about ASAP?
