Look for something super simple. Just a shell with a hip roof. Siding. Just look for the following material costs.
Framing: studs, joists and rafters.
Siding: cheapest that doesn't look too bad if painted.
Roofing

Not worried about windows or doors at this time. Thanks OB!

Metal would be cheaper... If you want wood, give me a zip code and I will run a quick estimate...

Give me a minute... Slab? What type of shingles? Vinyl siding? Subbing it out yourself or hiring a contractor? Need to figure in the door and window openings now. Garage door, regular door, any windows?

Just materials cost for framing, shingle roofing but not opposed to metal, wood or cement fiber siding. Garage door, two regular doors and three small windows but please exclude the cost of those from estimate.

Slabs already there.

I would contact wilson construction as I and my father in law have used them in the past. They use treated timber with corrugated sheet metal. I had a 18x40 with 14' rafter height camper shelter installed for $6500. wilson pole barns

Why are you doing a hip? Costs more and you miss out on storage space.

Well I'm not so sure I am at this point. I've been looking at some online and think I actually like the gable look better. Storage is a big benefit as well.

Hey Wick - I hate to ask, but if you get some free time, i'm trying to gauge the cost of a shop as well. Going to be doing everything myself except pouring the slap. If you cant, no worries.

Details...
- 16x20 4" slab
- Wood Siding (maybe a little brick in front but dont worry about that)
- 9 ft side walls
- 10/12 hip roof
- 10x7 garage door
- 1 36" entry door
- 2 regular sized windows
- 30 yr arch shingles

Zip 71078

I'm looking at doing it myself also. Problem is I have to use Hardie plank and shingles. HOA regulations of course.

That $4k include the slab? And if so how much. I already have a slab so trying to determine cost without that.
