I am currently commuting an hour-a-day from Madisonville to New Orleans for work. I am getting back on an audiobook kick and want to know if the quality folks on the M/TV Board can help me out.

For starters, I recently listened to The Martian and really enjoyed it. For book taste purposes, I've read all of ASOIAF, Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Dark Tower, and also enjoy some good history non-fiction (ala Band of Brothers). I've also read a good portion of Crichton's books. Just looking for some solid recs, specifically ones that are done well on audiobook.

I've heard the Lord of the Rings books are awesome. The good version is what the Gollum/Smeagle voice is based off. He apparently is really good at changing all of the voices, making it quite the tale.
