just saw this for the first time based on a recommendation
Loved the first 90% of it and then WTF happened at the end? I didn't necessarily hate it, just wondered what happened
so it was all planned and they expected him to jump off a building? am I reading that right? what If he would have died?
he was supposed to shoot his brother and act like he died?
im still scratching my head

Yes. The guilt from killing his brother plus the fact his father committed suicide jumping off their house.

yea, that was the one part f an otherwise awesome movie that really doesn't hold up all that well to even a movie reality level of scrutiny.
the odds of him hitting that fall just right if he was purposely aiming his landing are pretty incredible.
factor in that he was supposed to do it thinking he was ending his life... man... I doubt I'd want to make that part of my brother's "experience"

To be fair, the guy did say he was supposed to throw him over if he didn't jump.

I thought the ending was dumb as well but apparently I'm an idiot for thinking that from what I've read

It was not a confusing or ambiguous ending. Pretty straightforward stuff. Brilliant movie.

Creepy clown in his house though.

I guess the ending to me was pretty far fetched
Ok we are going to let him jump, fall 8-10 stories through glass and oh yeah 30 minutes later I'm drinking and eating birthday cake and trying to score a piece.

You know there was no Death Star Long ago in a galaxy far far away either.
