I know they are two different types of players playing two different types of roles, but who do you think will make more of an impact? I can certainly see Bony making some spot starts and I don't think he will have trouble finding the net since he was a proven goal scorer at a mediocre BPL club, but will Cuadrado see plenty of the first team or will he be more of a spark off the bench?

You really can't compare the purchases bc like you said they are two totally different players.

Cuadrado will def see more of the ball and has more of a chance to impact the game. He will also have more chances to start.

Bony is down on the pecking order if City is healthy up front. He would be third behind Kun and Dzeko.

Okay, I don't follow Chelsea a ton, but where does Cuadrado start? Salah and Schurrle didn't start, so it's not like he's taking their spot. Is it Willian whose spot is likely up for grabs? I don't see him taking Cesc's, Oscar's or Hazard's spot obviously. I guess it's insurance in case of injury and there will always be a great sub available.

I honestly think Bony will be in front of Dzeko and Jovetic in the pecking order. I don't even know when the last time either guy scored, though they have been sidelined by injury.

I like both the signings, if it's Cuadrado and Hazard on the flanks that is just utter ridiculousness for Chelsea when it comes to attacking.

Well hes a winger so i figure he would play opposite of Hazard. Replacing Willian. He won't be playing in the middle of the field.

He's a lot more explosive in attack than Willian even if prone to head scratching decisions.

Willian seems a lot more aware tactically, defensively disciplined so it may take Cuadrado time to win Mourinho's trust.

The more I think about it, we may well be watching entertaining video of Mourinho coming onto the pitch to strangle Cuadrado in the near future.

I think Bony is the safer of the two and I agree that I would view him above Dzeko in the pecking order...

I would also agree with wm72s assessment of Cuadrado and part of me questions if he's cut out for the EPL... He is definitely an exciting attacking player and if he does adapt, him and Hazard on the wings is scary...

Can't Cuadrado play wingback? I imagine he'll be used as a late game sub initially, especially when Chelsea want to change shape while still retaining some attacking threat.

I don't necessarily see how Bony fits into Man City except that he's a really good target striker as well as a good goalscorer. He'd be a good partner for either Aguero or Dzeko I think.

I think Bony has the bigger impact because Aguero has been their only good striker. Dzeko has been pretty average/injured all year. They'll probably return to the 442 and try to rekindle the Aguero/Negredo duo from last year. They were incredible to watch in attack last year when they had two players up top who could be on the ball and pick out passes on the counter. Dzeko does a lot well, but he doesn't have as big a skill set as Bony in my opinion.

I'm also working under the assumption that Bony plays more than Cuadrado. I just don't see him displacing Willian. Willian's work rate is so good, and I think that's really important for their success.

He will have strong hold up play and Kun will play off of him. Bony is strong as shite. Everyone knows that. But trust me when I say his touch and vision to play in someone running off of him are criminally underrated

I'm high on Bony. I think he and Aguero will make a formidable partnership. May take some time in the beginning, but their styles seem to mesh well.

I think he is going to be used as a battering ram

He will get Kun even more space which will be deadly.

So now that they have to add Bony, City will have to cut a Sr. player from their Champions League squad (only 21 Foreign players because of FFP penalty).
This article seems to think it will be Dzeko or Jovetic. I'd cut Caballero and use a U-21 player as the backup to Hart. Although, that would almost guarantee a Hart red card or injury in Barcelona.

Yes. Started his career as a fullback and has played wingback on occasion.

As you can see, Bony´s very talented, but I think Cuadrado´s Cumbia is better.

I hope Bony tears it up for City I love the guy and think he can be on the same level as Drogba and even better, glad to see him actually perform for the national team too

I liked what I saw of cuadardo at the WC but I hear hes streaky hopefully Mo can get the best out of him,

Willian embodies Mourinho's philosophy as player. Cuadrado will have to be truly special to replace him.
