Got a deal to get either tickets for Rd 1 or Rd 2. I'd be going likely by myself just to experience it. Jville. I missed out on the deal but still might go. What price could I expect?

Yes, well worth it. Cost should be $45-60/game.

I do. I'm just trying to justify it and attain a good dollar value to it. A lot of the questions I post I kinda already know but I want to justify it.

Don't look for justification from this bunch. If you want to go, then go. Live it up!

Well, I think we're going to be in the tourney but we are projected to be in fricking oregon. We could end up in jville or Charlotte. When I originated this thread, I had a nice groupon deal but it got sold out.

Was on a bachelor party in in NOLA in 2010? I think?

Florida was playing butler in the final game of the elite 8.

It was a pretty lame atmosphere.

But I am excited for this season's sweet 16 as hpuston will be hosting it. looking forward to experiencing the stadium set up

I always go when it comes to Memphis and have a good time. I'd suggest it.

Yes, very well worth it. Especially if you fill out multiple brackets and go, when I went they had the TVs on the concourse on different games as well, and at halftime showed the scores from around the tourney. Really a cool way to get involved.

To me the greatest sporting event on earth, better than the Super Bowl and whatever the NBA has become. MLB can be special but I will take the first two rounds over anything!!!

I went to the sweet sixteen & elite eight that was held in Houston in 2008 or 2009 (can't remember the year) when it was Texas, Memphis, Stanford, and Mich St. It was a blast! Highly recommend going to a tournament game if you have the chance.

I gather you are close to the venue.
You are taking pot luck, on the teams.

If I were going with someone, it would be more fun, to just go and not know in advance who is playing.
I would buy two tickets and ask friends to go.

Going alone, I would want to know who the teams are and you won't.

For a CBB fan go to the Final Four
Find out where the official hotel is and where the coaching convention site is, go to both and hang out in the lobby and you will see every major coach, media personality and tons of former players all for free

i wish the tournament could be more regional... i.e. why put a Pac 12 Big 12 matchup in SEC country...

I went when it was in NOLA and had a good time. Remember watching Lester Earl and Wally Zerbiac* play.

Tickets arent very expensive.

Personally, I'd rather just stay home and be able to watch all of the early round games on TV. Decent chance you get stuck with some crappy matchups and miss out on all the other first round drama going on around the country. I prefer going to the later round games when you know the talent level is going to be higher and there's not as many games that you'll miss.
