'almost'

You should know that passionate fans and attendance are only part of the revenue equation when it comes to a big 3 sports franchise.
ISWYDT. It's now big 3, not big 4 sports, so you can conveniently omit Seattle's failure to maintain an NHL franchise despite being located next to British Columbia, a hockey hotbed. Nice try.

Yeah, they were looking to leave a couple times.
Yes, I conveniently omitted Seattle's hockey team. Did they ever have an NHL hockey team? Are you speaking of the 1917 Stanley Cup champs?

Until they backed down from intense public pressure and government intervention, further proving my point that the saints are a top priority here

Tell me more about Seattle's former NHL team and how it proves the city's fans aren't among the best.

I was mistakenly confusing Seattles first failed mlb team, the pilots, with their failure to maintain an nhl team despite their proximity to hockey country. Not sure how either of those points help your argument

When did they have an NHL team? Is having an NHL teams the marker of whether or not a sports town is good? Atlanta and Miami have had NHL teams. NO hasn't.
Is a team moving always a sign of whether or not a town has good sports fans? New Orleans Jazz? Almost the San Antonio Saints? Cleveland Browns? Charlotte Hornets? Houston Oilers? A bunch of NHL teams in Canada during the '80s and '90s.
You're grasping for straws, man.

Look I'm not denying Seattle is a great sports town, but your insinuation that the saints aren't a pillar of New Orleans life is absurd

I know I'm not. I like the Reds, Vikings, Celtics, and Miss State. My other college basketball team is St. John's. I started liking those teams in the late 70's early 80's when I was a kid and they were all good. I guess I was a young bandwagoner, but I haven't jumped ship in the sucky years, and Heaven knows all those teams have sucked some over the last 37 years or so. Now, State comes from growing up in Mississippi and going to school there.

This. It's very selective memory when it comes to the Saints around these parts. From blackouts and Bagheads, to San Antonio, etc. It's not like the Aints were everyones team.
It as if the timeline went jumped from 92 --->06

My teams don't really have a rhyme or reason them, but i'd say they are far from bandwagon
Alabama college football(I grew up in Alabama)
Oakland Raiders (my dad was a Raiders fan. Probably because of Stabler. I disowned them during the Jason Campbell years.)
Toronto Maple Leafs. I wanted an O6 team. Decided on them. Have loved them since
Grew up a Cincinnati Reds fan(pre Griffey) but I don't care about baseball anymore at all.
Love the NBA, don't have a team. Like a lot of teams and hate a lot of teams, but i'm not a fan of a specific team.

Talks about the saints moving to San antonio had nothing to do with fan support

It's not like the thought only entered Benson's mind after Katrina. Come on.

the biggest uptick was with women. I swear I didn't know a single chick who was a Saints fan 10 years ago.
eta. I don't think the Cowboys can have bandwagon fans anymore. They haven't been elite in 20 years and a big portion of their fanbase is all in with the team.

A guy who grew up in the 90s and likes the Bulls, Cowboys, and Yankees.
Another guy who's been in Buffalo most of his life and roots for the Packers, Yankees, and Canadiens.
