Okay right now we are 2 1/2 games back from Phoenix with 35 games left. Yes I know that is a lot of basketball still, but Phoenix is playing good ball right now and I think it will come down to the last 5-10 games of the regular season. I'm just wondering, if anyone here realistically thinks we have a chance to get in at the 8. I hope we do, I just think its gonna be tough.

Realistic? Yeah. We just need to go on bigger win streaks than 1 game

Yeah definitely. It's gonna be hard to reflect on the season if we don't at least make the playoffs and look at all the terrible losses we've suffered to inferior teams.

If we can avoid the PTAO and keep winning then yes. AD should be back next week and Jrue is on pace to come back around the all-star break. So we have a chance. If we win on wed or friday then we win the season series with OKC. We currently have a 1-0 lead vs PHX and if play them twice in the last 6 weeks of the season. So yes for the 1st time since the CP3 days, we are actually in the playoff hunt.

I think we have a real opportunity Wed/Fri to do ourselves and everyone else a favor. A 2-0 vs OKC could almost kill their playoff chances. We have a chance to send KD into the offseason with a real bad taste in his mouth not even participating in the postseason. Go east Kevin. Go east.

This is from January 15th, Phoenix is going from the 19th hardest schedule to the 4th between then and the end of the year. OKC's is staying about the same while ours is going from 3rd hardest to 13th.

If Phoenix gets the 8th seed it will either be because of a collapse by both the Pels and OKC, or they earned it. I don't think Phoenix is keeping the 8th seed.

we really crapped the bed imo with the losses to the celts, pacers, nuggs(2x), sixers, and kincks

Yeah I tried glancing at the schedules for all three teams, and I'm glad its favoring us. I just hope we've finally turned a corner and can keep the momentum going for the rest of the season.

I'm not expecting Jrue back. I fear his injury is worse than the pelicans are saying

Unless AD is back at 100% I don't think we can go 2-0 vs OKC in 3 days, but if we win just 1 then I don't think we have to worry about them. Now if we do win 2 I will flap until I can't flap no more.

That would be best. All of the big FA either need to come to the Pels or go to the East.

I doubt KD goes to New Orleans. Don't u all remember when he said something like "no way I'm living in the same city as Al Scramuzza"?

Honestly we need to root for Phoenix injuries and for us to stop having any. Also having another OKC injury would be epic.

Suns are 13-14 vs. the West, Pels are 18-12

Maybe the Wright trade was enough to push them higher, but if they don't improve their winning percentage vs. the West they'll drop off. They get the pleasure of playing Golden State tonight, a team they have to play 3 more times including tonight, our West record already includes 2 losses to the Warriors. Phoenix did beat them the first time, but that was early in the season and most teams don't get swept if they play 4 times, we'll probably take one of the games we play them as well. If Phoenix can make it 2 in a row vs Golden State maybe I'll wonder if I've underestimated them, but I don't think I have. They have a harder path to the finish line and should falter some down the stretch.

We go 2-2 in the next 4 (ATL, OKC, OKC, CHI), I'll like our chances a little bit more.
After Chi, we have a 16 game stretch where we should go at least 12-4 if we play anything close to our potential

Suns down by 5 heading into 4thQ. Could be only down 1 game if Memphis holds on.
