Austin is an upgrade over those two to be honest. Jimmer's only chance at success is Monty letting him go out there and chuck shots. Wolters isn't even worth discussing. That's a bad situation.

I would heavily consider letting Jrue run the 2nd unit over Tyreke. His game is more well rounded, and it would allow him to look for his shot more. Plus Tyreke seems to be taking this "get everyone involved" mindset seriously. I like the progression he's making. It's obviously a learning experience still, but he's definitely getting better. When was the last time we saw a back door cut for a dunk inside 2 mins of a close game?

Something is different about tyreke for sure.

I can't really think of many mistakes he made tonight besides maybe 1 and he played good D on cp3.

Evans ball handling is elite, and he's so strong that he can't be knocked off his spot. Most of his turnovers are the result of poor decision making. There's truly a reason to get excited about him playing team ball.

I'm very impressed with EG, this is what I thought we would be getting from him

I think that deserves consideration. Many teams anchor their 2s with a scoring guard. Let your best perimeter defender go after him for a bit. Also, Evans needs to play with better players. Playing with garbage feeds into his worst instincts.

Start Jrue, pull him for Evans mid 1st, bring him back to start the 2nd.

You can then manage how you want to finish the half: 3 guards, Cunningham/QPon, Anderson/Asik from mid 2nd on.

I honestly think Monty was getting the guard rotation figured out before Jrue aggravated his leg and it was about what you're calling for. Fouls and injuries should be the only reason Jimmer or Wolters see the court.

Jimmer is a good player and that isn't fair. He doesn't hurt us at all when he is on the floor. He should play 10 minutes or more regardless every game.

Ill go out on a limb here...I think the starting lineup should stay like it is and have Jrue run the second unit

I know I know sounds crazy bc most people (including me) would consider him our 2nd best player but we have looked really really really good lately

EG is playing his best basketball since he has been in nola, Reke is playing his most efficient basketball since he has been in nola and while Jrue is out

One of those 3 definitely need to come off the bench...why not try Jrue? He will still get 30ish minutes a game just change up the rotation

I see a hip flexor in his future. He is playing too well.
