Questions about Tracy Porter

What is Tracy Porters contract situation with the Redskins?
Would you want him back as the number two corner?
Does the return of Dennis Allen precipitate this?
I don't know the Porter love/hate here but he's 28 and may have some miles left.

lets just remember him for a SB winning pick 6, why bring him back to mess with that.

He made some big plays for us, but those plays caused many to overlook how bad he was on a lot of other snaps. He is a very average SB that gets banged up regularly and missed game time, even when the injury is pretty minor (relatively speaking).
I wouldn't want him as my #2 CB, but I would not mind him as vet competition. We need someone better as our #2 CB.

Man, with him and Greer, I was convinced our secondary was going to be beast for years to come.

I agree with this. Someone that could rotate in but not as our #2.

and Greer
his injury is ashame, he went out with that injury a year or two too soon. He would have really helped this team had he been healthy.

Greer was incredibly underrated as a DB and I hated that he got injured. Byrd has huge shoes to fill as a Bills free agent acquisition.

Tracy Porter has played in 68 games over 7 seasons, and that includes the one season in his career where he played in all 16 games.

So he's under contract which means we would have to trade for him. Not gonna happen.
Posted on 1/30/15 at 3:37 pm to Meateye
Yep. Unless he's cut by the Redskins. Definitely not trading for him.

At this point in his career, he'd be the third guy with the occasional start. Kind of like R. Gay or C. McAlister in 2009.

Seeing as though he is still under contract he is definitely not worth trading for....If he was to happen to be released by the Redskins then I would absolutely welcome him to come in and compete....If he would get released then he wouldn't be able to command much money either......I'd let him compete, and he would make good depth, but I wouldn't want to go into the season with him as our #2 because he gets hurt too often, plus even though his production would likely be an upgrade over our #2CB last year I still don't think he could produce at a high enough level week in and week out
