I admit that historically I suck at it but I am getting a little better as I get older.

I was thinking about this recently, but I tend to take things very personally if I'm wronged in any way. It's just who I am.

I always come up with some elaborate plan to get revenge on people, but then I pretty much always decide to just move on and try not to associate myself at all with people who use me, frick me over, and/or don't show consideration for me.

Really this is all that forgiveness really means to me. It means that you don't want to do damage to another person as retribution. Given the opportunity you would still do right by that person despite the way that you may have been treated. It's not living in anger. It doesn't mean that you expose yourself to getting hurt again.
