make up a saline solution by dissolving salt in boiling water. Let it cool! Lay on your back with your head hanging over the side of you bed. use a syringe to put the saline solution into your nose. Hurts like frick, but after a few treatments infection is gone!

yes had one last year, and fought that bitch for like 3 and half months. Had two rounds of steroids and two rounds of antibiotics to kill it.

I have one about once a year. Looked up 24-hr remedies this year because I had a job interview in a couple days... Basically take a blazing hot shower in the morning, slam OJ and as much fruit as you can, then continually use a hot rag over your face. Around noon go for a walk, then eat chicken, onions, and garlic, some hot lemon tea, and for dinner eat soup with onions. Finish the day with a hot tub or bath. Wasn't 24-hour cure, but it relieved the pain and didn't get as bad as previous years, and it was gone quicker than the year before. Good luck.

eyp...that shite was terrible and lasted a hell of a long time...

I took antihistamines and decongestants around the clock, drank an assload of water, and stayed in the shower a little extra time to breathe the steam...

finally, that thing unclogged all at once and unloaded a dose of green snot that damn near made me throw up...

and just like that, it was done...

I had sinus surgery last year. It was great

90% of sinus infections are viral, not bacterial. Meaning antibiotics are useless. Google it

The reason It smells it because it's the infected mucas. That's also why your Mucas is dark.

Flush with saline twice a day and take a decongestant and ibuprofen to reduce swelling in sinus glands. Normal ones run its course in 7-10 days. Steroid shots can help to kick start your immune system but that's about it

Details on the surgery, please! What type was it, how long were you down etc. my reg doc wants me to see an ENT about getting sinus surgery - sounds as if the aftermath is painful and nasty...

There are two

The traditional(one I had) go in and clear out sinuses and straiten your septum. They put a stint up your nose for 7 days. 90 minute surgery you're knocked out. Feel pretty meh for 2-3 days but I had it on a Friday and worked from home Monday. Uncomfortable but after they take the stint out in 7 days you feel so much better. Nose is tender for a while but you barely notice.

New one is the balloon procedure where they go up and inflate a small balloon like device that expands your sinuses and opens them up. Apparently it's a shorter downtown and it's just a local anesthesia

Not sure on cost difference but I've known people who have gotten both and it didn't work. My sister has to get her surgery redone. Mine has been great

Ask your doctor and make sure you do the research and pick a good one. My septum was very crooked and I can breath much better

Good luck
