I'm like 90% sure a previous coworker's mom was a mail-order bride, and the guy brought all her daughters over, too (coworker was one of the daughters of said "bride").

Lots of East Coast resort communities are staffed with Eastern European college students on J-5 visas. Take a late summer golf vacation to North Carolina and the bars will be full of Poles, Czechs, Belarussians, Romanians, all with their visas running out. The ones from more rural villages do not want to go home.

I know a couple of nurses, guys in their 50's,with Philippine mail order brides. One marriage is going 10+ yrs, and another 5+ yrs. Both married girls about 15+ yrs younger than them.

I know a guy who has an asian wife who he ordered online. He goes to the bars every weekends and has her dress up all skimpy and slutty to show her off..it's weird but they seem to get along fine.

Crazy you said this cause I go to Hilton Head every Summer and at the grocery store all the check out girls are Russian, and I've always been confused

I noticed that in HH this past summer as well. Seemed like every other waitress was Russian or from that area.

I'm glad other people noticed this cause it was really the LAST accent I'd ever expect to hear in South Carolina

A former employee of mine married a girl from South or Central America. The family paid him 5-10K to do it. This guys dad married the girl's sister for money as well.
