Not that I believe for a second that you're in the know, but I wouldn't expect parents to have a completely rational read on the situation. That's their son. Like every parent of a football player, they want their boy to play.
I would hope that cooler heads prevail, and that they allow their son to become a man, honor his commitment and work hard to win the job. Or they could allow him to cower and run away when things get tough. That'll set a good precedent for the rest of his life I'm sure.
I want to know when exactly did working for things become unacceptable. It used to be the norm that freshmen ride the pine, no matter how good they were. Freaking Peyton Manning was a third stringer as a freshman, and only got playing time because of injuries. You think he wasn't the best QB on the team the day he got there? He had to work for it and he was Peyton freaking Manning. But BH is too good to sit?
