Well that's impossible considering that Jesus lives in her heart. But thanks for your concern......

My 5 year old laughs in his sleep. Happens a lot, as in, almost every night for the last two years. Cutest shite and makes me happy that he seems to have great dreams every night. I ask what he dreams about and it's always something from a a cartoon he saw so I make sure the shows he watches dont have any weird shite in them.

I had this as a child. I would wake up in the middle of the night screaming. I even went as far as to wake up in the middle of the night and ran to the back door trying to get outside saying they are trying to get me. I outgrew this but it freaked out my folks at the time though.

Yes, the first time it happened we liked to shite our pants! My son went through this at 7-years-old - he would wake up everyone in the house and freak us out! Here's some things that helped us: make sure they get to bed before they get too tired; if they wake up with a terror, press a cold damp rag against their face or slash a little water in their face; or clap your hands real close to them - sometimes the sound will bring them out of their sleep-state. Good luck and be patient, it'll pass in time.

My 18 yr old had night terrors at 5-6 yrs old for about 6 months. It was very creepy and would pop up at any time in the night. All total he had maybe 25 episodes. Then suddenly it was gone not to return.

Sounds a lot like his time on the OT.

Had that happen to me one time - it's like you stuck between conscientiousness and sleep, and it feels like paralysis because you can think "get up," but you can't because it's like your body is still asleep...hope it never happens again.

i did the same thing around that age , my parents would tell me that i would be freaking out and saying crazy shite , it was some form or sleep walking ....

i would never remember any of it , but i would remember after i woke up ....

one time i remember i was sitting on the toilet and my dad was standing by the door with his belt in his hand saying here you go , and i was confused and asked him what he was talking about , and he says hell i dont know , you have been running around the house screaming give me your belt ....
i remember none of that ....

i was really young maybe 6 or 8 but it must have ended around that time , never happened when i was much older ....

This happened to me several times as a child. I remember 2 of them but the others my parents told me about. The 2 I do remember were pretty rough. I was in a real bad panic thinking that the world was going to end or something.

Thanks for the responses folks. It's good to know that it's a little more commonplace than I imagined.

Been through this for years with one of my kids, and got tired of waiting for him to "grow out of it." Doctor suggested 3mg of melatonin for 30 days. Kept him on it for about 2x as long, and now he no longer takes it. Hasn't had a night terror in a long time.

I have an 18 year old nephew that still does it. My brother figured out that it happens when he goes on an all day sugar binge. He stayed with me this summer and it happened. I thought we were being robbed the way he was yelling.

If it's in a word, or it's in a book,

You can't get rid of the Babadook.

If you're a really clever one,

And know what it is to see,

Then you can make friends with the special one,

A friend to you and me.

His name is Mister Babadook,

And this is is book.

A rumbling sound then three sharp knocks,

BA-BA DOOK DOOK DOOK!

That's how you'll know that he's around.

You'll see him if you look.

This is what he wears on top,

He's funny, don't you think?

See him in your room at night,

And you won't sleep a wink.

He'll soon take off his funny disguise,

Take heed of what you've read,

And once you've seen what's underneath,

You're going to wish that you were dead.

I’ll wager with you.

I’ll make a bet.

The more you deny, the stronger I get.

You start to change when I get in,

The Babadook growing right under your skin.

Let me in.

Oh, come! Come see what’s underneath!

You are OK Sarge. My kid had them at three. Scary as hell, but doctor said wait it out. We did, and he is fine., ten years later.
