The FBI raided the office of St. Bernard President Dave Peralta on Wednesday.
A source tells FOX 8 News that agents have been at the government complex much of the day looking at computers and possibly other items in the complex.
A special grand jury was seated in St. Bernard Parish on Jan. 15, and a source said it's investigating possible new malfeasance in office charges against Peralta.
State investigators have been examining computers seized from Peralta's home and office last year. The grand jury is being handled by David Weilbacher and Matt Derbes, the same assistant attorneys general handling the other cases against Peralta.
The state has already charged Peralta with sexual battery of his now ex-wife Sharon Schaefer in St. Bernard and felony stalking in St. Tammany Parish.
Peralta is having an awesome year.

St. Bernard District Attorney Perry Nicosia should remain a defendant in a civil racketeering lawsuit because "there are more than enough supporting facts and evidence to support plaintiffs' plausible civil RICO legal claims against him," according to a plaintiffs' filing in federal court Tuesday (Jan. 27).
A federal judge is expected to decide next week whether to dismiss claims against Nicosia that allege he was part of post-Hurricane Katrina shakedowns for debris removal contracting.
Nicosia earlier this month, in his first legal response to the suit, asked for sanctions against the plaintiffs saying there was "no factual justification" for including him as a defendant in the case. Nicosia was added to the suit on Dec. 2, just a few weeks after being sworn into office as the parish's new top prosecutor.
In their response filed Tuesday, plaintiffs' attorney Hiram C. Eastland, Jr. said the judge should "allow plaintiffs to go forward with discovery" to try to prove their allegations against Nicosia.
The filing Tuesday said Nicosia and the other defendants "have engaged in a corrupt extortionate scheme" against the post-Katrina debris subcontractors "that would even make the Russian Mafia and Vladimir Putin blush."
