I'm really not to worried. Played two different schemes first half to second half and doing it with someone who is just learning CB, much less being the ONLY CB.
Also most of our team not in game shape. Brek , Bradley, Jozy hadn't played a meaningful game in months. Then it's all the MLS guys first game back.
Don't panic guys. And don't underestimate the impact the European players make on this squad.

Watched most of the first half but read some post game articles. They claimed we conceded the 2 second half goals after switching to a back 4 and a diamond midfield. Is this true?

It is true. Not sure why the 4-4-2 was so anemic on defense.

It was anemic on defense because a back 4 of Shea, Besler, Birnbaum, and Yedlin is not going to stop much of anything, especially with only Jones (who is terrible at holding position and loves to maraud forward) there to protect them.
Reading that over again to myself makes me feel better about the result, because there is no way we ever set up in that formation with that personnel in a competitive game.
I thought we actually looked pretty good in the first half before Jurgen started tinkering.

Not to mention it looked like Shea was about to die out there on the field late in the second half. After about the 65th min half of our team looked that way. Too many dead leg giveaways.

Jurgen's subs didn't make sense either. How long has it been since Shea played a full 90, or at all for that matter? And he leaves him in the whole game.
