I'm sure when your driving history comes up on their laptop, no comments are necessary.

Way for officer to recall facts if you take it to court.

Actually no, that is reserved for the rear of the citation. After you receive the citation, the officer writes a summary of the event, and what the violations where. So when you go to court, you will always see the magistrate, judge, etc flip to the rear of the citation.

There was the time I got pulled over just off the Simmesport bridge going to Marksville. Simmesport Officer Dipshit accused me of speeding (Dude, I grew up in PC Parish, I never speed near Smsprt) and when I denied that fact, he claimed my truck had no insurance per the DMV computer, and my ins card was false. When he tried to have me towed, I called my insurance agent who called Simmesport Chief of Police (cuz officer dips hit wouldn't talk to her)
It was great to see the look on his face when I told him his boss was calling him and to go get his phone. He still ticketed me for speeding, but didn't say a word or look at me.
got a letter about 2 wks later from the mayor with a copy of the ticket, saying this cop has been accused multiple times of ticketing without warrant, etc, and the violations had been dismissed.

Sometimes attitude pays off...maybe the exception that proves the rule...

Another fact: Most of these speed traps are handled in municipal court, where the mayor or some local appointed lawyer is the "judge". At trial, who do you think they will believe, Bubba, the cop, who they see every week, or some jackass from out of town who comes in to demonstrate his pro se skilz? Just call and pay the fine, and they will reduce it to non-moving 90% of the time.

That reminds me, I got one in Welsh on I-10 last Monday. Called the next day and they said I'd need to call next week. frickers

Rename this thread "Decipher the officer's note" and the thread would be 100x times funnier.

Good job, everyone.
