How many SEC wins do you think it will take...

to be in the Top 4 of the SEC and get a tourney bye. Just looking at the standings pending the outcome of the LSU game tonight, there will be 4 teams at 5-2 behind Kentucky. Arkansa really only has 3-4 tough games left. Georgia still plays UK twice, and aTm schedule may be challenged by playing Florida two more times. I think LSU needs to be 13-5 to finish in the top 4 and get a first round bye in the SEC tourney. Not much room for error here.

Right now, Arkansas, Georgia, aTm and LSU are all playing good basketball. Tennessee looks pretty good also. It will betough, but these teams could also go on a losing streak too. No one is so much better than the rest (besides UK) to be a sure thing to win a bunch more games.
I'd think 12 wins will probably get top 4.

Yeah there is a lot of talent out there right now, for a conference that is supposed to be about football. SEC is bringing their A-games this year. Hopefully some of these other teams can start beating each other up and LSU can coast into the SEC tourney! I'm already fired up for March. I'll be at the game tonight!

I'd say 12 as well. 13 or more, the Tigers are in for sure. Still a long way to go all these remaining teams can beat LSU on a bad night and some can win even if the Tigers play well.
