I'd much rather see this than a another sequel with an old, grumpy Harrison Ford.

Will you idiots stop this BS. You can make a good Indy movie without Ford, certainly one better than the last Indy movie with Ford.

This movie that hasn't been filmed, written, or cast is ruining my childhood!!!!! Seriously STFU.

The next original idea hollywood has will be the first in a while.

Remake after remake after reboot is beyond stupid.

Drones like yourself are also beyond stupid as you keep giving them your money to watch the same damn stupid movie over and over.

Movies like Raiders of the Lost Arc and Casablanca are classic movies for a reason.

You don't need to make them over and over and over again.

frick, I'd pay cash to watch the originals in the theater again, but I will be damned if I join the rest of you lemmings in watching a reboot of some shite I have seen 10 times before already.

Morons like you are the reason they are remaking things like ghostbusters with an all woman cast or rebooting fricking spiderman's origin again after just 10 years.

idiot.

They've already made 3 sequels and making one with Chris Pratt that is better than 2 of those sequels isn't a stretch.

THAT'S ONE HELL OF AN IDEA

I like the idea.

But to me... rebooting Indy is not so much about the actor.

It's about re-booting the spirit of Indy.

An Indiana Jones film should be the apex of live stunt work. shite no one has ever seen on film before. CGI should be shunned in Indy action scenes. There needs to be grit, dirt and more grit. And more dirt.

It needs to be fun but not goofy. Adventure before action. With mysticism, not magic.

Indiana Jones is a discoverer of the unknown, an uncoverer of the concealed, and tough as nails. Make Indiana Jones into who you wanted to be when you grew up.

That's all you have to do. Chris Pratt, Bradly Cooper, Chris Hemsworth... doesn't matter. Take up that whip and kick some arse. The world is waiting for it.

They have made 2 sequels and Pratt can't hold Ford's jockstrap as an actor. But hey keep giving them your money.

As George Lucas has proven many times....great actors can only do so much with his writing.

There were 1000's of things wrong with that movie but I am not sure the aliens were one of them.

What is this you speak of? I've never heard of it and nobody else should ever mention it.

But yes, even after that abortion. And that wasn't Harrison Ford's fault. That was Lucas 100%

Frick the reboot and sequels. With Indiana Jones, we need to look at prequels and WW2 stuff. That OSS stuff sounded interesting.

They can turn it into a James Bond-like franchise with a new Indiana Jones every few movies. The character of Indiana Jones was supposed to be Lucas's answer to James Bond anyway.

This is an incorrect statement even if you incluse books.

Hollywood makes plenty of original material, however it's not their fault people buy the tickets for the movies they make. It also doesn't necessarily make them bad. You can't make these generalizations and insult everyone that doesn't have your taste in movies.
Here are a few from 2014

The Grand Budapest Hotel

Bad Words

Chef

The Judge

Neighbors

Interstellar

Fury

Just a few. Some large market some small market some art house. There are others. Stop grandstanding on the Internet unless you have valid arguments.

There were some great stories in the comics that came out in the 80s about his early WWII exploits.

Personally - Give me Pratt in a reboot of...

I've said for awhile they need to go the James Bond route and just have a different Indy every few films.

Huh...I'm polar opposite on this one.

I agree wholeheartedly with superhero roles...recast Batman/Superman/Thor/Cap don't retell the origin story and move along. I'm with you there.

But I really do think Indiana Jones IS Harrison Ford. He's not a fictional character that people read about before they saw him on screen like Bond or the heroes. Characters that at one point people had imagined in their heads before they first saw an actual person in the role.

I don't think you can slap a leather jacket and hat on a guy and hand him a whip and you get Indy. I wish it were that easy, I just don't think you can do it.

I like Pratt a lot, but I also don't see him for that either.

ETA: I've never and will never see the 4th movie people claim were made.

I'm not suggesting they make anymore with Ford. Unfortunately that ship sailed in the early 90's when they did not follow up Last Crusade. Sucks, but that window closed back then.

I really do think there are some characters that can not be separated from the actor...Indy is at the top of that list for me, and it seems for others as well.
