find 2 trees with a width 2-3 feet around them and wrap chicken wire around them tight. in the middle pour corn in between the chicken wire and the sheds will get stuck in the chicken wire and fall off while they are eating corn (or whatever attractent is liked in your area) and you wont even have to hunt for them. just drink beer instead

i was walking cutovers the other day and found 2 sheds in thick shite and pines but it was just by chance. i like the chicken wire or mattress spring better

i used to not find them at all, I couldn't understand how people found them. then I got a lil older, slowed down, and looked in the right spots. I think I found 5 plus an arrowhead on one hunt in MS last year. Its really just about looking at the ground. In Montana and Texas, I've found them without looking at all.

I was planning on building a shed trap like posted above but I read this article yesterday.

Anyone actually used any of the shed traps? how effective have they been?

Yea I believe the traps are bunk. Really need to look where the deer are traveling late season.
