I noticed the same, but I have also noticed some hard working people who are raising families, and are trying as I am to quit being an addict to nicotine.

I am glad you are pure.

The sheer amount of formaldehyde they put in them alone would prevent me from ever picking one up.

Are you kidding? Real cigs contain smoke, tar, etc.

IDK about them. At a mardi gras ball last week we were outside smoking and I saw several people outside with the vape pens. I also saw one guy with a pen AND a cigarette. that's addicted.

I use one

It's not really a "I quit smoking" or look how cool I am thing

Cigs are gross, and so far there are zero (ZERO) credible sources that it is truly anywhere near as bad as cigarette smoke when you inhale it. If they come up with science that says it is a bad, ok then. But so far, nothing.

I smoke it cause it doesn't smell up my car, or me, and I can smoke it anywhere without bothering anyone. That's really about it.

All the "lol you smoke a vape you're a terrible person" shite is ridiculous.

I guess you don't find the American Cancer Society or New England Journal of Medicine to be credible.

Edit: Sources that say it is bad, not as bad.

i read that some study that says its bad only said its bad if you heat the liquid to burning point

so basically if you use the e-cig incorrectly it's bad for you

Doctors have said they are great.

Reports say they are bad.

What is the truth?

just bad in a different manner
i've only read stories of people getting pneumonia from ecigs, because water from the vapor gets into the lungs. i see them as being beneficial. they are a good tool people can use to quit smoking regular cigarettes. they fulfill the oral fixation that smokers develop while still relieving their nicotine addiction.
obviously, i'm not an expert. i am curious to see the results of more studies to come about the negative side effects.

Just to be clear, the vap manufactures are NOT including formaldehyde. Formaldehyde is a by-product of the combustion of the liquid, per the article.

Good point.

There is a difference between boiling point (to create a vapor) and burning point (or cracking) were the molecules chemically change.

I havent dipped since the first and next week move to the no nicotine juice. Whole rig was 40 bucks. Only reason to get one of the complex ones is if you dont plan on quitting vaping. I swear some of you sound like reps for big tobacco. It reminds of the people uber plants.

That's likely referring to the cheap analogs sold at gas stations. Those are made by the tobacco companies.
