if all of your electronic devices are apple i'd venture to say just stick with apple tv. i've never owned anything apple personally. i love my roku 3.

wait until its only slickdeals for $70. which is quite often.

I have a samsung smart uhd tv, and ipad (just for games really).

I am leaning towards a Roku and stealing my parents cox info to get the espn app

You can watch new shows on CBS.com the day after.

They have an app for streaming devices or do you have to screencast?

Even if they have an app that still leaves you without half of the major networks.

Meeple, if you want you can still get great signal with an outdoor antenna in your attic. I have a 6' behemoth tucked away in a corner.

I am in the market for one whether it be roku or amazon fire tv once I figure out the ESPN situation. Mainly I want to ensure I dont miss any sports on any channel before switching.
well call your parents and get a ESPN login for the time being. You know they are paying for everything.

So basically I dont need one for the smart tv but would need one for the others. And I could use the same apps to watch what I want. You just prefer roku interface over smart tv.

I have a Samsung smart TV and the ROKU is MUCH quicker.

Yeah, I thought about sticking my indoor antenna in the attic for the time being as well.

I just go to CBS.com on an internet browser. I have a computer hooked up to my TV.
