It's a damn shame, was looking forward to that next album, but lets be real, they may have stayed broken up the first time.

We've done everything that we could to give Tom what he says he needs. It's been years of pushing back and I have to tell you: It feels humiliating to be in a band where you have to be apologizing for one person all the time. That's how it's felt for a long time.

What's funny is that next month will be the 10 year anniversary since the 1st break up and it's basically playing out the exact same way all over again.

Well, one less pedestrian album will be hitting the airwaves.

I'm interested in hearing them live.. Matt Skiba is a far better punk singer than Tom..

I'll add that Alkaline Trio is a far better band than Blink 182.

Damn. For nostalgic purposes, I wanted to see them live again (haven't since 2001), but I think they'll make better music with Skiba.

I thought Up All Night was a great single in 2011, and I'm not a huge Blink 182 fan.

After reading thr Rolling Stone article, sounds like Tom only rejoined the band to make more money.
Tom has slowly evolved into a very bizarre individual.

Another from Mark that clears some of that stuff up.

I have a hard time believing Tom. HE left for Boxcar (which I enjoyed but still). HE took the band in a new direction after BR. HE walked out 10 years ago. That whole reply reeks of bullshite.

quote:

I remember asking one of them on the phone, “did you try your best? Like we all agreed to?”

I mean come on. Who says that without trying to cover their arse?

Mark has always been cool about the whole deal. You never see any drama with him. Similar with Travis. I can understand the frustration of Travis bailing on the flight but I understand his fear as well.

Tom has become a grade-a BITCH over the last 10 years. I saw them in 2011 in Dallas and it was basically the Mark and Travis show. Tom seemed like he wanted to just play while Mark interacted with the crowd. It was weird.

ETA: That picture of Mark in the deal I linked is awkward. He's riding the line of "cool" mohawk and "you're too damn old" mohawk.
