I'm sure this has been discussed here but who has makes the best smoked deer sausage around Baton Rouge?

Already have a freezer full of ground venison and Tramonte's jalapeno cheese sausage.

Thanks

Giovenco's? I've had some stuff made there, but it's been a while. Pretty good but if I recall correctly some of the products he made were done in large batches so you didn't get your own meat back

Never had theirs or Benoit's in Addis. Bergeron's much better than Benoit's?

That's a deal breaker. How do you know if someone brings in a deer that sat out too long, etc.?

For deer sausage I think Bergeron's is better than Tramonte's I've never had Benoit's.

I haven't killed a deer to bring one there to try it since he opened His regular smoked is very good though, like most of his other stuff. Hoghead cheese is good, but it's no Jerry Lee's.

I bring mine to Vines in Centerville since I'm in St. Francisville. It's a bit of a haul from BR, but I love their product.

You haven't tried West Feliciana Seafood? I know they were very expensive but they used to make some of the best sausage.

Not particularly fond of the owner and choose not to do business there.

Fair enough

My dad wasn't particularly fond of his prices 15 years ago and chose not to go back.
