I'd like to see this starting 5, I think it gives us the most athleticism on the field:

LT- Pocic
LG- Vadal
C- Dodd
RG- Brumfield
RT- Hawkins

LT-Hawkins
LG-Vadal
C-Dodd or Pocic
RG-Clapp, Brumfield, Pocic
RT- Pocic, Boute,

Not sure, but I would assume Hawkins coming back was part of a plan to move him to LT and see if he can raise his stock.

It's been confirmed that Hawkins and Vadal are going to compete for LT, and the runner-up will likely start at RT. With that in mind:

LT- Hawkins (RS-JR)
LG- Pocic (JR)
C- Dodd (JR)
RG- Boutte (JR)
RT- Alexander (SR)

I've heard that Clapp was the frontrunner at center. I really have no idea, but I think I read that - maybe in a Detilier interview.

What I like about the oline situation is that we have three returning starters, and the other two spots can be filled by a lot of guys who will be in at least their second year:

Dodd, Brumfield, Clapp, Austin, Malone, and Boutte

Hell, we ought to be able to get two out of that group.

I can see this. I still like Pocic best at a tackle spot and think his skills would work well there. Vadal is a great LG, he should stay there. I forgot about Boutte, but I remember he made a lot of noise as a recruit. Either way, our backs are going to have a lot of beef to run behind!

I was hoping and expecting to see this:

LT-Hawkins
LG-Alexander
C- Dodd or Clapp
RG-Brumfield
RT-Pocic

The left side would likely be as dominant as it was this year, maybe better depending on level of improvement from those guys. Brumfield is athletic and mean as hell. Pocic is from the same cloth and would like to see him getting some Tackle experience for the following season.

After hearing what Hawkins and Alexander said at their return presser, I'm thinkin it could end up like this:

LT-Hawkins
LG-Pocic
C -Dodd or Clapp
RG-Brumfield
RT-Alexander

I think Hawkins athleticism will win the LT spot for him. Pocic gets experience on the Left side. Brum gets paired with the senior Alexander. Will set up for the following season having:

LT-Pocic
LG-?
C -Returning from 2015
RG-Brumfield
RT-?

I really think his calling is at the guard position. His arms are too short, and he is better at run blocking rather than pass blocking.

LT Hawkins
LG Alexander
C Pocic / Dodd / Malone
RG Teuhama / Austin
RT Brumfield

It is VERY rare for a lineman to be able to come in at LSU and start his very first year. Even some of our best have been backups or had redshirt seasons as freshman. Is Teuhama just that special? Seriously asking, not trying to put anyone down. It takes incredible conditioning to go through a full SEC schedule.

His conditioning seems to be outstanding for someone of his size. But I think he needs to lose 10-15 pounds before he can start a full season in the SEC, provided that he is in the 340 range like I last read that he was. With that said, he does carry his weight extremely well.
