Recommend a monthly bill and checking account managing software.

I'm used to doing things the old fashioned way with Excel, but I want the ability to better audit my finances.
I'm looking at both AceMoney and Quicken and am wondering if any of you have any opinions on either or recommendations for another type of software.
Thanks.

Quicken is the king of money management software IMO

I'm looking at mint as well, which is free. I'm ashamed that as much of a tech hound as I am, I've never really felt the benefit of using a finance software. I've been really missing out.

I've never used quicken, but mint is good enough for me and pretty convenient. It's also owned by quicken, so it will probably never be as good as their paid products, but it does operate in a different niche. I want basic budgeting and account summary info that is easily accessed. Mint is perfect for that.

I also want it for that but I wasn't too be able to include credit card, credit union, and other types of accounts as well as all of my curving and savings info. I want to track spending habits as well.

does literally all of that

Wait which one of the three?

Quicken will do all of this plus download your transactions automatically.

Ah ok thanks. I'll start looking at coupons for the premier edition. Might as well buy it with too many bells and whistles as opposed to buying it and finding out I wanted more.

Mint does all of that. Depending on the credit union's system, I could see it not working for them, but I have every single account I own hooked up, which means it accepts ~15 CC companies, banks, savings institutions, and brokerages.

I'll have to do some more research later and compare the two side by side. If mint does all of that, free is better than $95.

Another vote for mint
There are lots of ways to customize it and it can probably add all of the accounts that quicken can since they are the same people
I've been using it for about 5 years and love it
I just sign in every couple of days to do an assessment of balances, etc.

I think for now I'll give it a shot because it's free and then if it doesn't fully meet my needs I'll give quicken a shot

I was talking about free "mint"

Another vote for Mint, it's not perfect but there is certainly nothing better.

Used quicken for ever and it continues to improve

YNAB. couldn't be happier.
i've tried a bunch of the other ones and this is the first one that is easy to manage across multiple platforms and tracks all expenses. its forward thinking instead of recreating what you already spent.
