Where do you guys by your throws here in town? Any help would be appreciated. Obviously, the cheaper the better.

Look at the ARC of Greater Nola. They take throws that are donated and sort them and sell them back to riders for much less than if you bought new. Plus you're helping out a good organization. But the closer you get to Mardi Gras, they sell out. I think there is a website to get info on how to reserve sacks.

It has been a few years since I rode. But I know I did buy some stuff at Plush Appeal.

There's a dock strike in LA holding tons of em from China.

Heard there were 30 containers docked offshore or sitting on the docks of the Port of LA on Saturday when this subject came up at our Krewe Den.

We order 2 containers for a 1.6 mile route. NO parades are 6 mile routes. With a much larger number of riders. In other words, our Krewe to ride a 6 mile route like an Endymion would need 8 containers. If you figure 30 containers are there, that's maybe a Krewe's worth of beads.

You're right that its technically several tons, but its a drop in the bucket and won't really impact Mardi Gras or throws like you might think.

It's mostly specialty krewe throws.
I ride in Endymion and we already had product distribution, so we're good.
Regular beads/throws seem to be plentiful.
