I lived in San Antonio, and have relatives in Dallas and the Houston area. It's not that bad, and in fact there's no State better that fits in the space East of N. Mexico, South of Oklahoma and West of Louisiana.

Well, I cannot disagree with this statement right here, even if I wanted to

ETA: And of course I don't have any actual animosity towards AK or any other state Just a TX thing to brag about our home turf, as you well know, having lived there yourself

Otherwise known as West Texas and the Panhandle? 3/4 of Tejas is wasted space.

I think Texas has a superior tax system than Louisiana. I think Texas's tax structure helps enable growth, and it is paying off big time for them.

I also appreciate Houston and Dallas for being great locations for young professionals seeking upward mobility. The amount of opportunity there is amazing, as is the growth the state has seen in the past 70 years.

I respect Texas even though it's not my favorite state. I wouldn't be upset at all if my career path led me to Dallas or Houston. I appreciate that they seem to be investing in their infrastructure and they are trying very hard to build up their higher education system.

Overall, I think Texas gets more right than they get wrong. It is not a bad place to end up at all. I hope that in 40-50 years, they remain a robust state economically.

Asymmetrical, next to impossible to reproduce by hand, cartoon animal, needing the name of the state printed on the flag...

That flag has been weighed in the balance and found wanting

Cali flag is superior in every way. You Texans can't be reasoned with. I'm going to bed.

AND A GOOD DAY TO YOU SIR.
