Well, after a 15 hr drive yesterday our first day in Kansas has been a bust. Wind blowing 30 miles an hour. Been sitting in the camp hoping it lays this evening so we can get the dogs out. Rode around this mourning and saw a few, but not much moving. Good news is the guides not charging us for today and we're gonna stay an extra day to make up for it. Hope weathers better tomorrow.

Tough luck, but the guide seems to be doing you right. Where are you hunting? Headed near Emporia in a couple of weeks for a goose hunt.

Always wanted to make a pheasant hunt out in Kansas but never could fit it in my schedule. Have hunted them twice in South Dakota and it was a blast. Hope it goes well.

I had a duck guide do that once, and I cancelled my trip. They murdered the ducks that day.

Yeah, that's why we came. Can't kill em if you're not there. We're about 3 hrs west of Wichita. Saw a lot of birds this evening. They didn't hold well. Killed 2. Should be much better tomorrow.

I have hunted public walkin land before, before the drought hit in Hays one year and hunted all over the central part of the state. The second time I hunted in the NW corner of the state. I really liked it out there, the wildlife was incredible...
