Many on this venue are critical oft the win against Vandy, either because it took overtime to win it or this player or that was lazy or "sucked" etc. If you are that person you have no idea how tough road wins can be, especially at Memorial Gym with its odd configuration.

The number one team in the country escaped with an 8 point win at home against this same Vandy squad after leading by only 4 points with 2:30 left.

This same #1 team had to go to double OT to beat Texas A&M and beat Ole Miss by only 3 points. So lets savor each SEC win, support the players and coaches. January may be a little bumpy, but I got a feeling February is going to be an incredible month for this team as it gels at the right time. A fantastic climb to the top is right around the corner.

If they don't think that road win was huge they don't watch college basketball.....

Still to be critical we have to get better at free throws and finishing a game before ot...

Yep, they are still a work in progress. I would rather be a work in progress after a tough road win than a loss.

It was a good win, but if you watched the game, you have to realize it does not have to be nearly as hard as we made it.

Constant turnovers and jacked up 3s make it hard to be confident in the team's formula.

Baldwin was 4-4 from 3 point land when he was averaging about one per game. Was it poor defense or did he just have one of those nights? Kornet triple his average - poor defense or one of those nights?

Damian Jones was well below average - poor night or good defense?

Still won when in a a tough environment.

Vandy surprised me. I expected them to be overwhelmed by our athleticism

The lack of anticipation/communication between M & M was excruciating in the last 3 minutes. The two to Mickey you had to scratch your head with his lack of anticipation of needing to move slightly to catch the pass. Then there was the chronic inbounding issues with Martin two games ago and it occurred multiple times last night. Is he the only guy who can inbound the ball?? Great win, but Vandy has now lost 5 straight, so it isn't like other teams aren't finishing them off.

Yes, the win in and of itself is a good thing.

What frustrated me is watching Vandy players move so fluidly and crisply without the ball where our guys mostly stand still, set an occasional ball screen and dribble around with seemingly little sense of purpose.

Now I will say at the end of regulation, Vandy quit doing that. They kind of quit moving without the ball and started dribbling around a lot. They frankly lost their poise and started looking like us on offense.

Just saying, very happy we won...but again, should not have been that hard. Geez the passing issues were maddening.

They seem to lack clock awareness and force passes sometimes instead of just passing back to the perimeter and recycling the offense when there is still 10 to 15 seconds on the clock.

Jesus Christ. We were 4 point underdogs in this game. We were supposed to lose. Yes, it SHOULD have been this hard. You people either have unrealistic expectations of how good our basketball team is or you're just plain stupid. Be happy we pulled the upset and got a conference road win.

Definition of low-self esteem. (how they resemble us when they don't do well)

I always find it odd that some people are determined for the board to have a united reaction to an outcome.

And if we lost, it would have been another bad loss on the resume.
