I got a new Surface for work yesterday from the company. My phone is an iPhone, so I'm not versed on the Microsoft apps.

How do I go about finding apps for my tablet?

Did this replace the laptop? We are testing these and the Lenovo yoga so we can have an all in one rather than a laptop and iPad.

It is a surface pro 2. I set up a Microsoft account last night, but now I've got security issues. The IT guy left my security levels so high most websites are not considered safe. He ran a separate filter a few weeks ago on our existing computers and tiger droppings.com was blocked. I created an urgent help ticket that day and threatened my resignation if that shite wasn't fixed before noon.

I heard several employees discussing this at the lunch table and chuckled to myself after my actions.

So it should have Windows 8. There is an icon that takes you to the app store.

Should have gotten the 3. It will run anything that runs on Windows 8.1 - games, Office, Oracle database, really anything.

Any Surface Pro model will run anything.

To the OP, there is an app store like people mentioned, but you can use it like a regular laptop and install any program that you would like.
