Offensive foul -- LSU in Bonus -- No FTs?

Calling the rules experts:
Twice in the second half tonight, a Vandy player was called for charge. In both cases, LSU was in the bonus (for the second, LSU was in double bonus), but they were not awarded free throws. In neither case did Jones argue the point.
Has there been some rule change that an offensive foul doesn't result in free throws?

Player control fouls are not shooting fouls when the opponent is in the bonus. Been that way forever.
Team control fouls were added about 10 or so years ago.

Hunh, I don't seem to remember it that way.
Oh well, I can't keep up with basketball rules.
