Pressure is directly proportional to changes in temperature. If temperature was 10% less then pressure would be as well.

Units don't matter if you're just looking for % change.
A % change in Temperature?
So a change from 80 degrees F to 40 degrees F means as ball deflates from 12 psi to 6 psi
Anyway, we prob talkin Kelvin here right? Thats celsius +273 or some shite?

this makes belichek look way worse, from blaming refs to the pig! Goodell is going to lay the hammer

So the colts where playing in different Atmospheric pressure than the patriots that night? Riiiiight

Hoping for a gotcha huh?

No, I just read your post in the context of this thread and my immediate thought was about an example with fahrenheit (since thats what the posted quote from the article was about) and so thats why I asked what unit it needed to be to actually show it as an example. Because I was wondering what the % change in temperature actually was for the game.

A football game had never before been played in these conditions in New England

Boston College has no patriots fans as professors I'm sure

It's very possible that the balls were deflated below specifications even then.

Don't you mean underblown?

I'll be impressed when this is backed up by the University of Indiana.
You're right...the department chair of Physics at BC and postdoc at MIT are willing to sacrifice their dignity and good name in the scientific community to pull some stupid homer bullshite over a relatively simple calculation.

But it didn't affect the colts ball?
Lol gtfo

Brady likes his balls at the bottom end of NFL regs in terms of PSI. If Luck likes his on the upper end of PSI regs, it's very possible that the Cots' balls remained in regs.

So is all this stupid shite show deflategate over now?
Posted on 1/24/15 at 3:21 pm to RollTide1987
It becomes important to know if the balls were pressure checked inside or outside then. If they were put on a gauge back inside the 70 degree room, these calculations are pointless.

YOu have no clue how if the Colts balls were inflated to the same amount as the Pats pre-game, you don't think that matters?
