Anime show with one season on Netflix. 25 epidsodes. I'm on 24.

Never really a big anime fan but this show is fantastic. The universe they created is awesome and terrifying.

Anyone watching or have watched? Thoughts?

It's really good.

I was struck by how grim the show is the first time I watched it.

Yeah, I think it's really good. I watched it a while back. The first season ends on a cliffhanger. Seems like I've been waiting forever for a second season to come out. I haven't looked into it for a while, but it's sort of feeling like it's never going to happen.

ETA: I see now that you have finished it, so I'll say this. The only thing I'm a little miffed by with it is that the first season finishes with too little resolution, and the wait for the second season has been so long. It seems like they could have given us a little more. The first season didn't even really get out of prologue.

I did a quick google search on the second season, and this was the first link that popped up.

quote:

There have been no reports yet on the release of the second season of "Attack on Titan," but it hasn't stopped fans from trying to figure out when it's coming out, with the more optimistic reports pointing at a possible 2016 release.

quote:

An announcement did come from the director and actors of the "Attack on Titan: Crimson Bow and Arrow." Yuki Kaji, Marino Inoue and Yui Ishikawa, as well as Director Tetsuro Araki shared that the release date for the season is set for 2016.

LINK

So nothing official from the studio, but some rumor from the director. I'm somewhat dubious and quite impatient.

The end of the first season did seem a little inconclusive. It does give the viewers a good jump off zone for the second season though. There is a love action film coming this year that I hope will be able to do the story justice. The story is so fricking good.

I haven't. But my daughter follows it and I hear about it from her.

BTW- there is a short 8 page Marvel v. Attack on Titan comic out on line: Marvel v. Attack on Titan

If you liked that show, watch Psycho-pass which I also on Netflix.

I showed someone that show one night and they watched the entire 25 episodes in a week, and they aren't a big anime fan either.

Plus season 2 is coming this year.

Great show. I really liked it. My brother and a couple other people told me about it at different times so I was like meh I'll check it out.

However; I didn't look into it much and just started watching I thought it was just like a shorter anime gem that I just didn't know about; kind of like full metal alchemist. So I was disappointed when I got to the end of season 1 like where's the rest?!

Just blew through the last fifteen episodes in one day. Show goes from too weird to handle to bad arse in episode 7. Sucks that season 2 doesn't come out till 2016.

Only qualm I had was that it didn't answer any questions and left me hanging a bit.

Gotcha. You can find it on less than reputable sites if you really want to binge it.
