When it's all said and done, I wouldn't be surprised if Feleipe Franks turns out to be the best quarterback prospect out of the 2016 class. I'm glad that he is coming to LSU!

LOL exactly. People say they hate dual threats, are afraid of dual threats, yet many are dying to get Braxton Miller here. Patterson, on interview, considered himself to be a dual threat. I'd say he is at least as mobile as Jennings.

Hell Winston was labeled as a dual threat out of high school (top 20 overall recruit) and he barely runs in Fisher's system. I like pass first dual threats and Harris, McMillian, Franks, and Patterson fit that description. Cole Kelley runs some read option at 6'7 and he can move. Lindsey Scott looks like a Russell Wilson type QB. While Dwayne Haskins doesn't run much at all, he is similar to Teddy Bridgewater, as he is an accurate pocket passer who is pretty mobile.

Agreed. He is not the definition of a "dual threat". He is a pocket passer with good mobility. There is a difference.

3 threads about a QB who isn't committed to us and none about the elite one we already have locked up for 2016.

fricking right. Sick of all the Patterson dick sucking at the expense of Franks. It's fricked up. By the time this kid signs he'll have been committed for over two years, yet most of these fricks on this board have completely forgot that he exists. It's bull shite. Feliepe's ceiling is 10x higher than Shea's.

lmbo! raw emotion!

I'm sorry, but I cringe when I hear "dual-threat" and LSU. Our offense isn't for dual-threat it's for pro style.

Patterson is a good QB. But he is not a dual threat. In fact he was listed by all recruiting services as a pocket passer, until AFTER the LSU camp in July 2014. He was ranked in the top 10 in pocket passers nationally. After a decent 40yd time at LSU camp in July, he was magically re-classed as a dual threat (with in a week). It was a smart move, because they ranked him higher on the dual threat side. The common thought is that PPs are more cerebral than DTs (not that I agree with this). So when he moved over to the DT side it gave him a boost in the rankings.

DONT CONFUSE the term "dual threat" with the term "mobility". Just because a guy moves better than most PPs, doesnt make him a DT. Look at SP's film. It is clear that he is a PP with good mobility. But he is by no means a dual threat. AGAIN, he is a good QB.

So much stupid in one post.
He is polished.
He can make all the throws.
He is fast and agile.
He can run.
That is a dual threat.
Just because he is White doesn't mean he has to be labeled what he is not, the kid is dynamic and can beat you with his arm and his legs. That is a dual threat.

But this is a Frank's thread and he is a gunslinger and all LSU. Go Franks!!!

I am all in on Franks being our man for the future at this point. Very talented kid with tons of potential and upside. He has plegged allegiance to the tigers and we owe him nothing but appreciation

do people like to start threads like this in hopes the recruit sees it and helps him reaffirm his commitment?

"I started considering other schools because the guys on tiger droppings just couldn't stop talking about Shea.....but then LSUtil_idie made sure I got some love. I'm rock solid to LSU again!"

This kid is going to be great exactly what we need pro style qb labeled as a dual threat but he could be either. He is poised in the pocket and keeps his eyes down the field and he will fill out well in that frame. We have a winner right here I can see it

I heard he was having second thoughts after seeing all the Patterson threads on tigger droppings forum but now things have changed with the 'LSUtillidie' appreciation thread. He is back on board 100% with LSU now.

Please lets start Brandon Harris and go all out to make Franks feel welcomed. Usually when a player comes with all this drama in recruiting, they usually dont meet expectations. Go out and focus on Franks and Tolliver's cousin to add to competition. If I were Franks, and I am a top five Quarterback in the nation, I would feel some type a way. Smooth Transition from Harris 2015, '16 and '17 than Franks in '18, '19 and '20.

This guy is a play maker.
Hope you're not talking about a "Playmaker" with his feet.

The Tigers need a QB that can quickly process information, while effectively and competently distributing the ball into the hands of the actual play makers, (WR's and RB's) by pushing the football through the air in a forward motion........

To hell with the Patterson's. Frick'em and everybody that looks like'em. We got Franks and he's gonna do it big for us.
